Pageant, the third single from Moi dix Mois, contains the omonimous song, the instrumental version, and a short prelude (Secret longing).
Before the release of the single Pageant was already performed live and included in Dix infernal ~Scars of sabbath~ live DVD (under the name of Pagent).
Mana said in an interview that Pageant is about the Cinderella theme. It wasn't included in the NOCTURNAL OPERA album because it didn't fit the album image and its story.
Strangely, in the booklet there aren't any pictures of the band member, instead the booklet features atmospheric photos: gray and gloomy gothic architectures, and a picture of the virgin Mary crying blood.

Re-release: The whole single was re-released for the European audience on the bonus disc of the TRISOL edition of NOCTURNAL OPERA. (released on December 2nd, 2005)
